Corporate Canada - Vast Varied and Vibrant!

I love Canada as it is a beautiful country and not as hard to get to for a short trip as you might imagine – plus there is so much to do when you get there you won’t want to leave!

Getting there
The direct flight to Montreal from London was only 7 hours- 2 meals, 2 films and your are there! Then whether you want to be based in the city, somewhere remote or enjoy them both, everything is close at hand so you maximize your time away.

Montreal
This place offers everything you would expect from a vibrant and cosmopolitan city but in addition why not try:-

Ice skating in the park
Gastronomic tour of the city with your own gourmet guru

Country Retreat
This place is certainly a piece of paradise in the most beautiful remote setting. A stunning log cabin nestled into the forest overlooking the frozen lake – who could ask for more? It oozes style and luxury whilst retaining its traditional feel.

Why not try?
Take off in a sea plane from the lake for a scenic tour of the area.
Experience husky and snowmobile safaris in the vast forests and frozen lakes surrounding the hotel.
Chill out in the new spa – even the sauna has a window so you don’t miss out on the spectacular views!

Hotel de Glace
Yes they have a hotel in Quebec made of snow and ice where you can either have a visit or stay the night in a snow room. They also have outdoor hot tubs so you can get warmed up and some of the rooms even have fires in!

Tremblant
If you can’t live without a ski fix on a winter trip then Tremblant is certainly worth a visit – the downhill skiing is excellent on the quiet and beautifully pisted slopes. The village itself is car free and very quaint with a variety of hotels and apartments not to mention the many bars and restaurants.

Quebec City
Steeped in history, this city is a great place to experience. The choice of accommodation is varied but always good – from the luxury of a chateauesque hotel to the smaller boutique style. You can even stay in a hotel on an Indian Reservation.

Why not try?
Cross country skiing around the parks of the city
Ice climbing beside the Morency Falls
The fun of the Snow Park

What I learned
This is one of the few winter destinations where you can combine a vibrant city with a remote setting in which to experience the most exhilarating activities whilst enjoying luxurious accommodation and great food and wine. The snow park was immense fun - especially the Himalaya Run!
